My New Apartment

I will be moving into a new apartment in the middle of November before I return to Quito for my 1st Peace Corps conference called Reconnect.

I will be living with two friends of mine — Michelle and Caitlin who are also HIV/AIDS PCVs in Guayaquil. Michelle found the apartment in the newspaper and we made an appointment to meet with the landlords – a sweet old couple from Loja (up in the sierra). After walking around the apartment, we immediately fell in love with it. The location is right in downtown Guayaquil walking distance from my work and one block from Guayaquil’s main street (9 de Octubre). Also, we are blocks from the Malecon (the beautiful waterfront embarcadero) and the Metrovia stops right in front of the apartment — all GREAT pluses.

Here are some pictures of the new apartment!!
